This specialty is responsible for performing what are commonly called "root canal treatments".

These procedures consist of removing the pulp tissue (blood vessels and nerves) found inside the tooth and sealing these canals with obturation material.

¿When is endodontics necessary?

This procedure is necessary when the following occur:

- Deep cavities.

- Inflammatory processes and infections (abscesses).

- Following dental trauma or fractures.
